Community guidelines

In short
•
One genuine profile per person, with true details and recent photos.
•
Be courteous. A declined interest is a final answer.
•
Never ask for money or dowry, and never share someone’s details outside Paraspar.
•
Report anything that worries you. The person is not told who reported them.
Paraspar works because families can trust what they see. These guidelines are what we expect of every member, and of every relative managing a profile. Breaking them can lead to a warning, a suspension or removal.
Be genuine
•
One person, one profile. If you already have one, edit it rather than starting another.
•
Every detail should be true, including age, marital status, sect, community, education and work.
•
If your divorce is still in progress, say so.
•
If you manage a profile for a son, daughter, sibling or friend, they must know about it and agree to it.
Photos
•
Use recent photos of the person the profile is about, with the face clearly visible in the main photo.
•
No photos of other people, children, celebrities or pictures taken from the internet.
•
No nudity or suggestive photos, and nothing with phone numbers, email addresses or links written on it.
Be respectful
•
Write to people as you would want your own family written to.
•
A declined interest is a final answer. Do not ask again, send another interest from a new account, or contact them some other way.
•
Treat every member with courtesy, whatever their sect, community, diet or background.
•
Keep what people share with you private. Do not post or forward screenshots of their profile or your conversations.
Keep it safe
•
Never ask anyone for money, gifts or help with payments, for any reason.
•
Never ask for or offer dowry. It is illegal, and we remove anyone who does.
•
Do not put phone numbers or email addresses in your About text or in messages before you connect; Paraspar hides them anyway.
•
Do not promote other apps, services or businesses.
When guidelines are broken
We look at every report. Depending on how serious it is, we may warn the member, hide what they posted, suspend their profile or remove it. Threats, dowry demands, fraud, impersonation and anyone under the legal age to marry lead to immediate removal, and we may inform the police.
Report what worries you
Open the profile or the chat, tap Report, and choose a reason. You can also block the person at the same time. Reports are confidential: the person is never told who reported them.
